To Mr. Eric Thomas,
Hello my name is Darius Ballinger, and I first want to say thank you for sharing your testimony with me. I’m a firm believer that our own testimonies aren’t just for ourselves. But also, for the encouragement and empowerment of someone else. In a case where, your testimony wasn’t just for you; it was for me too!

I shared that quote with you because, before you, I never saw a man like you. A black man who was a man of God, a Husband, and a Father. An educated black men who speaks for his culture the way you do. I’m truly inspired.

Powerful how God works. A year ago, this time, I was a high-school dropout, a father of two kids, and a convicted felon on probation on my way back to jail.
Society labeled me a nobody, but God appointed me to be a somebody.
It was because of those previous defeats that I could identify the true me.
People don’t see me as a high-school dropout anymore. Because I went back to school and got my GED. Then I enrolled into college and earned a 3.0 GPA my first semester.

People are seeing me for who I am, and whom I am becoming. My past has been erased, and my future has been ordained.
Thank you Mr. Thomas, may God continue to bless your ministry.
I Just wanted to share that with you because the dream is real. Eric Thomas showed me that. HE just dropped a new book I had to grab that joint. Its official.
