Shellfish is informal terms for aquatic life-bearing aquatic animals commonly referred to as exoskeletons-bearing organisms used as food or a by-product of other animal industries. Shellfish is generally harvested from tropical waters, although some are now found in freshwater as well. They may be harvested using a large drum called a trawl, but the largest is the net.
